Himno 1.17: Indra y Varuna


Indra es el señor de la Mente divina. Varuna vive en la Verdad, toca la Verdad (rtasprsha), aumenta la Verdad (rtavrdha), (1.2.8). El Rishi reza para que los Dioses incrementen estas cualidades divnas dentro de sì.

Varuna es la deidad de ‘la amplitud’. Se lo puede alabar o cantarle himnos de muchas formas diferentes, siendo cada alabanza expresión de uno de sus rasgos particulares. Por lo tanto “es magníficamente digno de alabanza entre todos los Dioses que son dignos de alabanza”.

La victoria perfecta o total es cuando la persona tiene domino sobre todos los elementos de todos los planos; físico, mental y emocional. Quien logra la victoria total es porque venció a los enemigos que se caracterizan por la desarmonía en cada plano.

Varuna es el maestro de ‘los infinitos’. Por lo tanto la plegaria pide felicidad infinita en todos los sentidos, o sea, ‘felicidad por todos los costados’.
